CPR Tools is looking for a Data Recovery Engineer I to join their team in LaBelle, Florida. As a Data Recovery Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced environment where timely recovery of customer data is of the utmost importance. We are looking for engineers that are versatile and are excited about tackling new problems as we continue to advance our technology forward. Following are the exciting challenges offered by this position:
- Logical file system recovery and repair
- Physical data recovery including PCB repair, head replacement, platter transfer
- Development and use of proprietary recovery techniques
- Use of cutting edge in-house and third-party tools
- Data storage hardware research and testing
- Input into design of new Data Security and Data Recovery hardware and software
We expect all of our team members to have strong problem solving skills, a driving desire to learn, and the ability to solve complex problems using innovative techniques.
Required Skills
- 1+ years of experience in data recovery/forensics field
- Cleanroom experience
- Experience with physical hard drive repair
- Simple electronic component test/repair experience
- Experience with industry standard data recovery hardware/software
- Knowledge of common file systems
Desired Skills
- Linux experience
- RAID data recovery experience
- Experience with SCSI and SAS devices
- Experience with mobile device acquisition and recovery
- Familiarity with modern hard disk drive interfaces and T13 ATA specification
Education
An Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related technical field is desired. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
